I’m a journalist, newsletter writer, and des(s)ert evangelist. Sundaes among the saguaros, anyone?
I write sharp technology, science, & social news that doesn’t pull its punches.
I’m also known for Creativity Under Capitalism, my biweekly newsletter.
(Here’s a peek at the latest issue!)
A little more about me…
Two things have always been true about me: I love crafting stories, and I’m endlessly inspired by the desert. Everything else is just icing on the cake.
Though I’ve been lucky to write about a colorful variety of technologies, sciences, and social issues throughout my 10-year writing career, I particularly enjoy sharing my strong sense of justice, my undying compassion for others, and my naturalist perspective through my work. I often say nothing exists in a vacuum—meaning the devices we create, the behavior we normalize, and the beliefs we inhabit all affect us in unexpected ways. The better we understand those effects, the better we get at mitigating (or improving upon) them.
Currently, I work with publications and a select handful of individual clients who have something special to share with the world. I also write Creativity Under Capitalism on a biweekly basis while balancing personal creative writing projects. When I’m not tapping away at my keyboard, you can usually find me at a local Phoenix coffee shop or (in the summer) at a sweet, sweet swimming pool. Ah, chlorine.
I’m glad you’re here.

Those who are interested in working together one-on-one for copywriting or content consulting purposes are encouraged to reach out via 99 Degrees, the copy agency I founded in summer 2024.
Please note that I do not accept product or publicity pitches. If you’re with a PR firm, please do not use the following form to send me an email about the latest in artificial intelligence. (Seriously.)
